{"id":2279,"date":"2022-12-07T18:27:06","date_gmt":"2022-12-07T17:27:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.qair.energy\/en\/?p=2279"},"modified":"2022-12-07T18:27:31","modified_gmt":"2022-12-07T17:27:31","slug":"qair-appoints-head-of-hydrogen-strategy-for-the-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oldprod.qair.energy\/en\/qair-appoints-head-of-hydrogen-strategy-for-the-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Qair appoints a Head of Hydrogen Strategy for the Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Paris, December 7, 2022 &#8211; <\/strong>As of November 29, 2022, Tryggvi Thor Herbertsson is Qair group\u2019s Head of Hydrogen Strategy and Partnerships, a newly created position.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2018 Tryggvi Thor Herbertsson is the Executive Chairman of the Group\u2019s Icelandic subsidiary, a member of the steering group for the Task Force for Carbon Pricing Europe and a Board member of VOR, the Icelandic hydrogen association.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Qair\u2019s ambition <\/em><em>is to become a leading player in the production of green hydrogen<\/em> <em>using green electrons from the group\u2019s wind, solar and hydrologic platforms around the World,<\/em> <strong>said Louis Blanchard, CEO of Qair<\/strong>. <em>We are currently developing <\/em><em>large scale projects<\/em> <em>in France, Brazil and Iceland and are pleased to appoint Tryggvi Thor Herbertsson in this key position to further sharpen Qair\u2019s focus on Hydrogen<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tryggvi Thor Herbertsson<\/p>\n<p>Serving as Chairman of the Board for various Icelandic Qair entities since 2018, Tryggvi Thor Herbertsson is a former Member of Parliament in Iceland and a Professor of Economics at the University of Reykjav\u00edk and University of Iceland. As a member of Parliament he served on the Committee for Economics and Taxation and the Committee of Industries.<\/p>\n<p>He has published over 50 scholarly papers and is the editor, author, and co-author of 13 books and monographs on various topics in economics.
